Tons upon tons upon tons of talk of the schedule being completely overhauled. What moves do you think we'll see? What would you like to see? What do you hope doesn't happen?

Honestly, I can easily picture Homestead losing the finale to Vegas. That marketing mecca makes too much sense to host the championship. They already have the championship banquet...

I'd say it is guaranteed that Kentucky gets a race and both Vegas and Kansas get a 2nd race. It looks like those races will come from New Hampshire, Atlanta, and Auto Club. With that being said certain races will have to be moved around in order to make it work. Kentucky will most likely get a June date with Kansas getting a late April date and Vegas will get a date toward the end of the year. One possibility is Vegas get's New Hampshire's Chase race (whether that gets moved to the last race or not), the current Sonoma date gets swapped with the spring Atlanta date giving Kentucky a June date and Kansas would get Auto Club's spring date but with that date getting moved.

Don't want to see Daytona in the Chase. It would be cool to see a road course in the Chase but I doubt that.

Honestly, I'm very interested to see what becomes of the Chase races, not to mention the possible changes. I don't think any of the plate tracks should move. They all sit in good positions on the schedule and more or less ring in each new quarter of the season.

well with the rumor from Bernie in F1 that Monaco could lose it's date there's a chase road course race lol (stupid rumor and idea)

I think the schedule will be a bit different but I am not sure on some of the changes. Kansas,Las Vegas getting second dates with Kentucky getting a race from Atlanta,New Hampshire, and Auto Club is basically taking a fast-high banked 1.5 mile track, a flat one mile, and a bit medium banked 2 mile track and replacing them with 3 races at 1.5 Mile medium banked cookie-cutter tracks. Kentucky for Auto Club date YES!.Maybe I would like Auto Club again with 1 race again. Las Vegas switch with Homestead in the chase...sure. Kansas for a second date..not really liking that idea. Kansas I think would be like Auto Club, ruined by a second race.

Changes will be good, but they don`t need to go crazy. Some chase realignment, maybe a road course added, Kentucky added in there for an auto club date, Las Vegas for a second race somewhere. That would be great.

I would be sad to see New Hampshire lose a race though, racing there is unique now. Not too many other flat one mile tracks shaped like that on the schedule. I have said this before, racing there live was awesome to watch, but I guess it is the television viewing factor tin some way that would want them to take a date away.

No, Atlanta isn't gonna lose a date, the racing at Atlanta is always good. Get rid of some other sh*t track. I could deal without Kentucky too, maybe give us Mexico or Montreal to give us a 3rd road race.

Atlanta has had awful ticket sales as of late. That is more reason for NASCAR to take a date than to let them have two because the racing is good. NASCAR is looking for numbers.

Jimmy it has absolutely nothing to do with the racing at Atlanta. I enjoy the races at Atlanta but they haven't had great attendance. It's all about business. Kentucky will be able to get a great crowd. The Kentucky Nationwide race had only about 6,000 less fans than the Cup Chicagoland race this year and last year the Kentucky Nationwide race had about 1,000 more than the Cup Chicagoland race.

It's not NASCAR's decision to take a race from Atlanta, it's SMI's choice to but NASCAR has to approve it.

Which again proves the point of why Nascar sucks ass.. They take away good tracks to give us sh*t tracks for racing because it brings in more money. Maybe if they kept good tracks, people would enjoy going to the races and would fill out the seats at good tracks more often. But they give us crap tracks, expect us to just know the racing will be good, when half the time it isn't. Look at Pocono...

But Pocono is one of the few tracks that sold out this year. And it is a unique track. It is getting a lot better recently. And apparently Atlanta isn't that interesting for fans, because no one is going. People aren't going to Atlanta, even though the racing is still great.

Atlanta needs to keep that night race right before the richmond chase cut-off race, that seems to be a success. Didn't it sell out last year?

Anyway, Mexico City won't happen since it lost it's Nationwide event. And montreal would be cool but it most likely wont happen.

I've been to several races at Kentucky and they have been great races. But more so now you go where you can get money and attendance. Honestly it would be best if NASCAR only went to certain tracks once. For a long time 2 races at Atlanta was a success but now only the labor day race gets great attendance.

If they cut Atlanta to one date, I think the attendance per race will be heavily boosted. Same with California. Both suffer from slightly-better-than-half-full-stands syndrome, so one date should (in theory) have those communities combine.

There are a lot of holes in that theory, I know. Namely, many people can go to more than just one of the races.

As long as Tally still has 2 dates I'm fine with whatever they change.

Tally won't lose a date. That's Earnhardt Jr. fan central. He won't allow it.

Daytona won't lose anything either, which is fine with me. I like being able to go to 2 races if I decide to.
